Although the game has low rated injuries, it is always safe to have your gears on for the thrilling game. Injuries are part of the game, and one cannot afford to be oblivious.
Head protection gear
If a paintball lands on your uncovered head, it will definitely hurt you. Therefore, it is imperative for you to cover your head with a paintball helmet, goggles, and a facemask (note: if you end up with a giant welt you can try our paintball salve for relief). The goggles should be made of a thermal lens with a single lens to prevent the mask from fogging up.
Gloves

This calls for the use of gloves during the game. If the paintball gloves are not available, it is advisable to use football or gardening gloves. Upper body gear
A long sleeved t-shirt should be worn as a base layer before adding on the other garments. One is never enough, however thick it may be. Top it off using a thicker hoodie sweatshirt. Whether it is design specific or not is a personal choice. You may decide to opt for the padded shirts as well. The extra padding of these shirts helps to protect the body further. In case you feel that these garments will interfere with your movement, there is an option for you; you can go for lighter ones. Also, some sniper players prefer sniper suits or ghillie suits. These, are originally worn by hunters although paintball players use them because of their camouflage feature.
Lower body gears
Paintball players roll around and crawl in the game. For this reason, it is also advisable to wear two pairs of baggy elastic sweatpants while in the field to ease movement. Also available are jumpsuits, cargo pants, and paintball specific pants.
Footwear
Sneakers are known to be the best when it comes to footwear. They are selected for their comfort during running, jumping or any other rapid movement in the play. Use a durable pair that you won’t mind getting wet.
Neck and groin gears
The neck is a very sensitive part of the body which necessitates the use of sturdy neck protector, essential during the play. In case the neck protector leaves you uncomfortable, it is always good to opt for a bandanna. A turtleneck sweater is also another option for the neck protection. Although a cup meant to protect the groin seems uncomfortable to have, it is an equally important gear to put on.
Additional gearing tip
While choosing these gears, always go for dark colors which camouflage against the opponents. Extra padding is also necessary for the unsatisfied lot who may feel like the pants are not sufficient enough for protection. The pads make the bow pliable when the hands come in contact with the ground.
